Serving the Story
A visual effects job well done is visual effects that no one notices, that’s why I take a lot of time and care to make sure once I’ve done my work, the viewer will have no idea I was ever there. Like a VFX ninja, if you will!
When successful, visual effects disappear into the shot and silently serve the story.
Visual Effects Pipeline
I use a combination of Nuke, After Effects and Blender for visual effects work.
My workstation includes a 32″ 4K HDR Calman-verified ProArt display capable of impeccable colour-accuracy in both 100% sRGB and 100% Rec.709 colour gamuts which, alongside my fully colour-managed workflow, means you can be confident the work I produce for you ensures a colour-accurate experience for your audience.
I’m also able to integrate into ACES (Academy Color Encoding System) pipelines, the new industry-standard for unified colour workflow.
Enhancing AI Generated Video
If there’s one thing AI isn’t good at (yet), it’s client notes.
AI tools can introduce all sorts of unwanted artefacts, elements or design choices that you really have little control over without generating an entirely new shot, which might mean losing a scene you or your client were otherwise happy with.
Using the same visual effects tools and techniques used for real footage, VFX artists like myself can tweak your AI generated video to fix, remove or add to the shot and save it from the cutting room floor.
